NY

New York, New York!

As I’m sure you know, earlier this month, The Practice graced the concrete jungle that is New York. Although it was short (2 nights), it was certainly sweet.

New York, similar to London has a somewhat mystical feel about it and no matter how much you may despise large, over crowed metropolitan areas, you have to admit, there’s nothing quite like it. The stark contrast between the short, narrow windy streets of London and the tall, regimented grid system of Manhattan couldn’t have hit us any harder however. We’re not going to go into which city is better, but if you haven’t been to the big apple, just trust us when we say that you will find unique qualities in both.

We obviously didn’t stay long enough to enjoy all that NYC has to offer, but as you can see from the pictures trickled throughout this post, we did our very best to get out and about. We of course visited many of the usual spots; Times Square, Central Park, Bloomingdales and the under construction new World Trade Centre at Ground Zero. A quick trip to the Guggenheim got our creative juices flowing. Throughout all this, we wouldn’t help but think that New York would be perhaps the easiest city to do marketing for, with its endless supply of iconic landmarks.

The purpose of our trip was, of course business and it must be held as the highlight. A strong team effort lead to the successful pitch for new business to rival any project we’ve had before in terms of scale and ambition. Almost in reflection of the city itself, the new project will be a tall order, but something we will relish here at The Practice!
