From here to there…A tale of two cities
The glorious weather has us whipping our iPhones out at every opportunity, snapping away at the city scenes around us. From London to New York where our offices are based, take a look at the latest Instagram pictures from The Practice team.
To an outsider, London might seem devoid of greenery, but there are in fact many beautiful parks and open spaces just a stone’s throw from the centre of town. Primrose Hill, (shown below), is one of our favourites, and also doubles up as a great place to work when we need a little fresh air. At 256 feet high, it also offers a spectacular panoramic view of the London horizon.
Just a hop and a skip away, you can experience the beautifully quaint Regent’s Park road with its eclectic mix of independent boutiques and restaurants. It’s perfect for a lunchtime meeting in the sun too!
And further down the road, you’ll often find our team members working and meeting in the tea and coffee shops of Camden Town. The bohemian market and area surrounding the canals also make it an excellent source of creative inspiration.
When we’re not to be found soaking up the more “villagey” parts of London, The Practice team often meet on Fleet street or the area surrounding the City. And of course, the approaching view of St Paul’s Cathedral walking up this iconic road is always something to behold.
Meanwhile over in New York, our team continue to capture every facet of the cityscape, from the historic intersection of Union Square, (below), to the architecturally impressive bridges that complete the horizon. Union Square, located at the junction of Broadway and Fourth Avenue, is the perfect place to soak up the busy city atmosphere, check out its legendary Greenmarket, and hold lunch meetings in its many cafes and restaurants.
The Manhattan architecture has also made its way on numerous occasions into our creative work- the city offers a certain geometry that makes it so different to photograph than London:
And when The Practice team want to escape, there’s nothing better than getting lost in our thoughts whilst staring wistfully across the Hudson River- and its all the more awe-inspiring at sunset!
